Sexual health and wellbeing after chronic illness
With over 30 years of experience in oncology and palliative care across a range of clinical and community based settings, Amanda is considered a leading expert in communicating about sexuality in cancer and palliative care.
Amanda was the Executive Director Cancer Information and Support at Cancer Council Victoria for 7 years. Having completed her PhD in sexology and cancer, Amanda incorporated key findings of the research into the development of books, communication workshops and training modules as well as telephone support for people affected by cancer.
Amanda has established Bayside Healthy Living where counselling, support and practical strategies are provided to promote confidence, motivation and sexual wellbeing after cancer.
Amanda has written Fertility after Cancer for Cancer Council Australia as well as updating Canteen’s Maybe Later Baby series.
